Charles Escott

Charles has a wealth of experience gained over many years, particularly in effecting the turnaround and restructuring of financially distressed businesses to avoid insolvency processes.  He has also undertaken a large number of viability, strategic and pre-lend reviews.  Charles is an accredited member of the Institute for Turnaround, Europe's leading representative body for accredited turnaround and transformation professionals.

Charles' experience includes specialist international assignments where he has acted for UK based banks in assessing their options in overseas exposures.

Since 2004, Charles has been increasingly involved in using his experience to provide advisory services to Trustee Boards and Directors in relation to defined benefit pension schemes. This has included covenant assessments, affordability reviews and impact assessments, as well as liaising with Employers and the Pensions Regulator in connection with transactions.

Charles' broad sector knowledge has resulted in many successful assignments, particularly in agribusiness, construction, care-homes, printing, professional practices and hotels/leisure. He offers practical and constructive advice to bring about change and a return to financial health. Covenant assessments are measured, and based on an understanding of the business and its drivers, not just of the historic accounting numbers.
